How Many Famous People Stay Young-Looking

Some famous people are getting major facial surgery to look younger… Many Aren’t.
A lot of stories will tell you that celebrities stay young-looking by making sure they drink a lot of water, stay out of the sun, and use a lot of SPF. I think that’s mostly true, but I know for sure that there’s more.
Non-surgical options like BOTOX, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, and broadband light (to name a few) are often combined with strict skin care routines that can actually change the looks of both male and female celebrities over time, making it look like they’re turning back time.

This is how it works.

You can get rid of those annoying frown lines (the hated “11’s”) between your eyebrows with BOTOX®. They make you look angry all the time. These deep lines, which are officially called glabellar frown lines, are caused by moving your muscles over and over again. It is called botulinum A toxin, and it stops nerves from sending messages to muscles. This makes muscles weaker, which makes wrinkles look less noticeable. BOTOX is also great for forehead lines and crow’s feet. Model Cindy Crawford, former Miss America Vanessa Williams, and talk show host Kelly Ripa are all famous people who have talked about using BOTOX.

Most BOTOX treatments last between three and six months. The catch is that BOTOX needs to be done “right” for you to look “right.” If BOTOX injections are not done correctly, they can make your face look clearly “worked on” or get in the way of your natural facial expressions, or even worse. That’s why I don’t trust nurse injectors or PAs to do BOTOX and filler shots in my office. I do all of them by myself. It’s important to have experience and training, and after doing more than 15,000 “injectable” treatments on both men and women, I’m sure that they will always get great results when they come to me. Some of my BOTOX and filler patients come from other states or countries. You can get your treatments done close to home, but make sure you pick a skilled, experienced, and board-certified plastic surgeon to get the best results.

Fillers for the face have been one of Hollywood’s best-kept secrets for a long time. Most of the time, “facial filler” refers to shots of different types of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that the body naturally makes. Facial or “dermal” fillers are put into certain parts of the face to add volume where it has been lost or to smooth out lines, wrinkles, and folds that have become more noticeable. People who know me and my theory on aesthetic medicine know that my goal is always to get results that look as natural as possible. To do this, I’m always trying out new, better, and more effective ways to use facial fillers. Most of my patients like Juvederm Vollure and Juvederm Voluma because these “HLA gel” fillers give a smooth, natural-looking and feeling result that helps reduce lines and add volume to parts of the face that have lost it over time.

I use Juvederm Volbella XC to make my lips look fuller because I think it gives the most realistic results. To say it again, it is very important that face fillers are only put in by a board-certified plastic surgeon with a lot of experience. Some gel fillers can stay under your skin for up to two years before being absorbed by your body naturally. Because of this, you shouldn’t let “just any doctor” put dermal fillers into your face.

Who in the public eye uses face fillers? They aren’t saying, and I won’t either. But as a plastic surgeon who has worked on many famous men and women, I can tell you that the effects are mild, especially in people over 35. It looks great on them when it’s done right.

Use of lasers and light. Do you ever wonder how older celebrities can still have skin that looks smooth and flawless in spy photos? Laser skin resurfacing and broadband light therapy (BBL) are likely to blame for that.

Laser treatments can help with scars, dark spots, enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, birthmarks, and more. The heat (energy) that the laser creates also helps the body make more collagen. Chelsea Handler and Christie Brinkley are two actresses who are big fans of laser treatments.

Bilateral brain stimulation (BBL) is a very safe method that works really well. I know this because I’ve had several sessions myself. It’s not the same as a laser treatment because lasers use a focused range of light. BBL, on the other hand, uses short bursts of light at a high intensity that absorb red and brown pigments in the skin. BBL can help with melasma (dark spots), age spots, freckles, vascular sores, rosacea, redness, and broken capillaries. Sciton made the Forever Young BBL tool that I use. The name pretty much says it all. In the same way that some lasers do, BBL treatments also make your body make more collagen. Three to six treatments, spaced three to four weeks apart, are usually enough to get the effects you want. After that, one or two treatments a year can help keep them up. This is what actress Denise Richards seems to think; she was even seen getting a type of strong pulsed light treatment.
