You don’t have to stop traveling when you retire. Here’s how my travel companion and I saw Greece on a shoestring without sacrificing any of its natural beauty, cuisine, or culture.

Greece offers beautiful beaches that you may enjoy without breaking the bank. We spent our days at the nearby black sand beach and slept at a more reasonably priced hotel in Perissa. We had chilled beers from a local supermarket in addition to the food and drinks that could be purchased.

If you’re shopping for gifts, consider Athens over the smaller islands where costs are usually higher. Greece is a fantastic destination for vacationers on a tight budget because of its affordability when compared to other European nations.
